Friends are asked to walk with a Kyoto resident they admire along the Kamogawa River at dawn or midnight, for two kilometers or three flocks of ducks. Friends are also asked to take care of the garden, and to give away a seed from the garden or elsewhere to someone they meet.
Inviting, welcoming, and gardening in imagination is at the heart of black cat day dream’s residency, supported by a forest of friends.
There is no finished form necessary for anyone to complete.
We gather to share the experience and any curiosities on the last day.
Simple machiya maintenance skills such as tsuchikabe care and gardening, photography and projection installation, birds nest making, seashell and stone collecting, egg tempera painting, komorebi, yukimi, bird feeding, karesansui sweeping, ikebana, among others, can be experienced with Foster, Isabelle, and other friends.
Collaboration is welcome.
また、庭の手入れをし、庭や他の場所から採った種を、道で出会った誰かに手渡すよう求められます。
招くこと、迎えること、想像の中で庭をつくること——それが、友人たちの森に支えられた、black cat day dream のレジデンシーの核心にあります。 完成した形は、誰にも求められません。
最終日には集まり、その体験と湧き起こった好奇心を分かち合います。
フォスターやイザベルをはじめとする友人たちと共に、町家の簡単なメンテナンス——土壁の手入れや庭仕事、写真撮影と映写インスタレーション、鳥の巣づくり、貝殻や石の採集、卵テンペラ画、木漏れ日、雪見、野鳥への給餌、枯山水の掃き清め、生け花など——を体験することができます。
